Australia will visit Pakistan twice in the next two years after cancelling the scheduled tour in March and April over security concerns, Cricket Australia (CA) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Monday.
The world champions would tour Pakistan in April and May of 2009 for five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 match and again in August and September 2010 for a three-Test series, CA said in a joint statement with the PCB.
Australia's one-day tour is scheduled at the conclusion of their tour of South Africa.
"Although disappointed that the tour couldn't be completed as originally scheduled, the PCB is very pleased that the Australian team will come to play in Pakistan twice, in 2009 and again in 2010," PCB chairman Nasim Ashraf said in a statement.
Pakistan will also tour Australia for three tests, five one-day internationals and a Twenty20 contest in 2009-2010.
The original tour was cancelled due to Australian players' concerns after a series of suicide bombings following the general election, which had been postponed in the wake of the assassination of opposition leader Benazir Bhutto late last year.
