Pakistan made 224-9 in the first one-day international against West Indies at the National Cricket Stadium in Guyana on Sunday.

Earlier, rain interrupted play in the first One Day International at the Guyana National Stadium on Sunday with Pakistan at 23 for four off 9.1 overs after being put in to bat by the West Indies.

West Indies captain Dwayne Bravo won the toss and put Pakistan in to bat in the first One-Day International at the National Cricket Stadium in Guyana.

Bravo, who missed the home side's final match of the Tri-nation series last week in Trinidad through suspension, returns to lead a West Indies side seeking its first home ODI series triumph against Pakistan since 1988.

Devon Smith makes way for the captain while tall fast-medium bowler Jason Holder comes in at the expense of Tino Best from the last match against Sri Lanka in Port of Spain.

In their first action since losing all three group matches at the Champions Trophy in England in June, Pakistan welcome back mercurial all-rounder Shahid Afridi, whose wrist-spinners are expected to complement frontline slow bowler Saeed Ajmal and a seam attack comprising two left-armers, including the giant Mohammad Irfan.

Teams:
West Indies: DJ Bravo (captain), C Gayle, J Charles, DM Bravo, L Simmons, M Samuels, K Pollard, D Sammy, J Holder, S Narine, K Roach.

Pakistan: Misbah-ul-Haq (captain), Nasir Jamshed, Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Hafeez, Asad Shafiq, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Asad Ali, Saeed Ajmal, Mohammad Irfan.
