Sandeep Patil has quit as a juror and talent spotter of the T10 Gully Cricket tournament which the Indian Cricket Board on Wednesday said was not sanctioned by it.

"I have already resigned from the tournament board and also informed the BCCI," the former India batsman told PTI.

Patil's decision came on the day the BCCI categorically said that no approval has been given by it to the tournament whose second edition was announced in Mumbai on Tuesday.

"The BCCI has not given an approval for a T10 Gully Cricket tournament, as is being claimed by the organisers of the same," Board secretary N Srinivasan said in a media release.

The BCCI has also told all current and former players registered with it not to associate with the event, Srinivasan added.
