The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is confident of getting $2.75 million as hosting right fees for this year's Champions Trophy - which was eventually shifted out of the country - despite the tournament's potential host South Africa insisting on the same.

Saleem Altaf, the Chief Operating Officer of the board, confirmed that Cricket South Africa (CSA) had raised certain financial issues pertaining to next Champions Trophy including the issue of who would get the hosting right fees.

Sources said CSA told the ICC and other members that it cannot host the tournament in September-October without financial help and rewards from the ICC, including the hosting right fees.

The ICC is due to take a final call on the venue next week after the weather pattern in Sri Lanka, standby venue, forced them to reconsider their decision to have the event in the island nation.
