India's perfect Caribbean tour hit a bump on Wednesday after all-rounder Praveen Kumar was involved in a scuffle with a spectator before being pulled away and guided into the team bus.
The Indian players were leaving the Queen's Park Oval after winning the second ODI and there were a number of fans milling around the team bus. An eyewitness said that a middle-aged man appeared to say something to Praveen, who pushed him aside.
A source close to the Indian team confirmed the incident but said it was a minor issue and the man appeared to be inebriated. The player was told to be careful and not get provoked in future.
Praveen Kumar is back in the side after an elbow injury ruled him out of the successful World Cup campaign in March-April. He was impressive on a slow pitch in the first One-day International on Monday, but failed to take a wicket in the second game, returning 0-54 on a more batsman-friendly pitch.
India lead 2-0 in the five match series with the third ODI to be played in Antigua on Saturday.
