South Africa will keep faith with the same batsmen who flopped in the second Test against England when they attempt to square the series at Newlands starting on Sunday, coach Mickey Arthur said.

If any changes are made they will be to the bowling line-up, though Arthur is also willing to give paceman Makhaya Ntini more time to find his form heading into the third test.

Arthur told reporters on Friday there would be “some very tough selection decisions” at Newlands, after South Africa suffered an innings defeat at Durban to go 1-0 down in the four-match series.

South Africa’s top order collapsed to 50-6 in the second innings, with only two specialist batsmen reaching double figures, in a passage of play that effectively handed England victory.
