It’s curious. RCB boss Vijay Mallya gave the captaincy to Kevin Pietersen because Rahul Dravid was to leave for his baby’s birth and hence wouldn’t be around for the entire six weeks.

But now Pietersen is the one leaving for his national duties. Of course, no one was aware of England’s series against West Indies and his impending departure! So now there is a vacancy at the top and Kallis and Dravid are being tipped as the top contenders.
