Tailenders Wayne Parnell and Rusty Theron snatched an improbable three-wicket win for South Africa in the second T20 against Australia at the Wanderers Stadium on Sunday.

Parnell (29 no) and Theron (31 no) put on an unbeaten 64 for the eighth wicket off just 27 balls to level a series.

Australia's youth brigade took their side to the brink of victory but in the end a lack of experience proved costly to the tourists.

Brief Scores: South Africa 148 for 7 (Botha 34, Theron 30*) beat Australia 147 for 8 (White 39, M Marsh 36, Tsotsobe 2-11).
