Playing his first game after hand surgery, Tendulkar got into the groove and scored an unbeaten 52 as Mumbai Indians, batting first, posted a total of 155 for four in 20 overs. Ambati Rayudu was the top-scorer, hitting 59.
GCA XI took 22 overs to chase the target in the friendly, during which Jacob Oram, Jaspreet Bumrah and Chahal played for the GCA XI, and Harbhajan Singh led MI in the field.
About 1,000 spectators turned up to watch Tendulkar in action in the unofficial game that started at 6pm under floodlights. The tie was a part of the preparatory camp that MI are holding in Motera ahead of the Champions League Twenty20 that begins with the qualifying round in Mohali on Tuesday.
