Virender Sehwag was back to his hilarious self as he used a popular ‘Sholay’ reference while wishing his former teammate VVS Laxman on his 42nd birthday.

The ‘Fab Four’ of Indian cricket was arguably the most well known group of batsmen in modern cricket and that was mainly due to the brilliance of its members. From Sachin Tendulkar’s perfection to Rahul Dravid’s finesse to Sourav Ganguly’s aggression, the ‘Fab Four’ had all the attributes needed to produce a masterpiece. But, the member who stood out among them because of his wristy strokeplay and magical timing was the ‘very very special’ cricketer known as VVS Laxman.

The Hyderabad-born cricketer was a mainstay in the Indian middle order during the early 2000s and his innings of 281 against Australia at Eden Gardens is still regarded as one of the best knocks in cricket history. In his illustrious Test career, VVS Laxman scored 17 centuries and 56 fifties with an impressive average of 45.97.

On the occasion of his 42nd birthday, Twitter was filled with birthday wishes for VVS Laxman from past and present members of the Indian cricket team. Here’s a look at some of the tweets:
