Sachin Tendulkar’s ‘small request’ on Holi as Virender Sehwag has a blast

Sachin Tendulkar has asked fans to save water while celebrating Holi. Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan, Mohammad Kaif, Sushil Kumar too wished fans on the celebration of colour.

Sachin Tendulkar, Indian cricket team legend, brought joy to a billion Indians with his legendary knocks and painted the country blue. On Monday, as the nation celebrated Holi, the festival of colour, the maestro joined in the celebration but made a small request to fans.

“May this #Holi add more colours to your life. Have a happy & safe Holi! Also, a small request to save water :),” Sachin wrote on his Twitter account.

However, another Indian cricket great Virender Sehwag said he was celebrating a no holds barred Holi. “Playing Holi Jamkar ! May the festival of colours spread joy, peace,happiness,wealth, and celebration in your life. #HappyHoli!,” he wrote on social media.

Virat Kohli, who along with the Indian cricket team was travelling to Ranchi on Holi, had a special message for fans.

Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan and Mohammad Kaif also wished fans on Holi.

Wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, 2012 Olympics bronze medallist, tweeted pictures of Barsana, a place in Mathura, where Holi is celebrated in a big way.

Sushil Kumar, double Olympics medallist, too wished fans on Holi.
