Shah Rukh Khan, famously known as ‘King Khan’, turned 52 on Thursday and like every year, the superstar had fans wishing him on social media, with a couple of more passionate ones standing right outside his residence since last evening.
Sportspersons too joined in wishing him, with former Indian cricket team opener Aakash Chopra even trying to pose like SRK with his arms stretched wide on both sides. The pose, which has been turned into an iconic one by Shah Rukh Khan over the years, did manage to earn accolades from Chopra’s followers, who felt the cricketer-turned-commentator had done well to replicate the pose.
Virender Sehwag’s batting partner at one time, Gautam Gambhir wrote on Twitter: A very happy birthday @iamsrk bhai. May God bless u with health, happiness, peace and of course a lot more super-duper hits #srkbirthday, too.” Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar wasn’t too far behind as well.
Wishing SRK, Tendulkar wrote: “Not just a beloved actor, but a good natured person with a big heart. Happy birthday, @iamsrk!”
India’s tennis star Sania Mirza, too, wished the King of Bollywood on Thursday. Posting a photo of the duo together on her official Twitter profile, Mirza further the actor and stated that he was one of the most wittiest people she has met in her life.
Among others, Suresh Raina, wished the star.
Posting a photo of him along with SRK and Praveen Kumar, Raina could be seen in the jersey of Gujarat Lions.
