For most fans, nothing beats the sight of a batsman hitting the ball out of the ground; especially in the super-fast format. But while the average fan may want more big hitting, Shane Warne wants to see a closer contest between bowlers and those wielding the willow. And he says bigger boundaries would go a long way toward making that a possibility.
“I suppose this game will be talked about for a long time… in the last game, 240 runs were scored, but this game had everything," he said after his teambeat the Deccan Chargers. He stressed the point that bigger boundaries and wickets that allow for an even contest, “make for a great game of cricket... It's all about setting up the batsman and bigger boundaries make it so much easier.”
