Smriti Mandhana continues fiery form with ton vs West Indies; Twitter applauds
Smriti Mandhana scored an unbeaten 106 to guide India to a comfortable seven-wicket win against the West Indies in the ICC Women’s World Cup at Taunton on Wednesday.

The left-handed Mandhana hit 13 fours and two sixes in the knock from the 108 balls, as India recovered from two early dismissals to cruise to a comfortable win against their Caribbean opponents.
This was Mandhana’s second ODI century, and Twitter hailed her for the composed, calculated knock.
Former India cricketer Virender Sehwag led the plaudits for Mandhana, calling her ‘outstanding’, while Snehal Pradhan, ex-India Women’s player, too lauded the southpaw’s century.
Sehwag’s former teammates Mohammad Kaif, VVS Laxman and Aakash Chopra too took to Twitter to express their admiration for the Indian opener.
India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in their next match at Taunton on Monday.
