South Africa captain Faf du Plessis won the toss on Sunday and chose to bat first in the second Twenty20 match against Sri Lanka.

South Africa retained the same team that defended a modest score to win by 12 runs in the first match on Friday.

Sri Lanka rested opening batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan and recalled Mahela Jayawardene for the match at Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium. The hosts dropped all-rounder Jeevan Mendis for seam bowler Nuwan Kulasekara.
