The Proteas have dominated the ICC World T20 right from the start, and have effortlessly moved into the semifinals following their three comprehensive victories in the Super8s stage.

They go into their semifinal against Pakistan, and with the talent and quality in their squad, they should have an eye on the final at Lord's.

Graeme Smith has played an integral role in the domination over the past year, and his tactical brilliance in this tournament, particularly with the use of his spinners, has been quite exceptional.

South Africa have a perfect T20 line-up with explosive batsman and quality spinners. I have been thoroughly impressed with their spin attack, as Johan Botha, Merwe van der Merwe and JP Duminy have all picked up crucial wickets whenever they have come on to bowl.

In addition, Herschelle Gibbs, AB de Villiers and Duminy are some of the best T20 batters going around.

No one would like to face Pak in a knockout game, as if the right Pakistan side turns up, anything can happen. I've been impressed with Afridi's bowling, and all of Pakistan will be hoping he gets his batting in order. Umar Gul has been phenomenal with his fast reverse swing and SA will have to play him on merit.
