Pakistan cricketers, who were suspended by their respective IPL franchises, are anxious to meet Lalit Modi in South Africa.

The IPL franchises had terminated contracts of six Pakistani cricketers after the PCB denied permission to its players from tavelling to India. But contracts of Sohail Tanvir, Kamran Akmal, Umar Gul and Misbah-ul-Haq were suspended leaving them a chance to make a comeback next year. “We were supposed to go to South Africa between May 10 and 12.

A number of issues have to be discussed, including the details of the suspension and how to come out of it. But no confirmation has come so far on our scheduled meeting with Mr Modi,” Kamran Akmal said.
