Fans hailed the Indian cricket team on Twitter as Virat Kohli’s men emerged victorious against New Zealand on Monday in its 500th Test match.

India beat the Black Caps by 197 runs in the 3-match series as Ravichandran Ashwin clinched an impressive ten-wicket haul across both innings.

The milestone victory was accompanied with a record by Ashwin who became the fastest Indian bowler to pick 200 Test wickets on Sunday after he dismissed Kane Williamson on the fourth day’s play in Kanpur.

Kohli’s men had set an unlikely target of 434 for victory at Kanpur’s Green Park stadium.
