The England and Wales Cricket Board says two players have reported attempts at bribery by bookmakers to fix the result of matches.

The ECB said it passed on the details to the International Cricket Council's anti-corruption unit.

English cricket's governing body did not say who the players were or which matches were involved.

The Daily Telegraph newspaper reported Wednesday that a player with a decade of experience in the English county championship had told England’s Professional Cricketers’ Association about an attempted bribe from an Indian businessman.
