Unmukt, Puneet in Delhi squad

Unmukt Chand and Puneet Mehra are the two new faces in the 15-member squad announced by the Delhi & Districts Cricket Association for the Ranji one-dayers to be played in Haryana from February 10-18.

Unmukt Chand and Puneet Mehra are the two new faces in the 15-member squad announced by the Delhi & Districts Cricket Association for the Ranji one-dayers to be played in Haryana from February 10-18.

Mehra scored 284 runs in four matches at an average of 40.57 while Unmukt scored 478 from seven under-19 Cooch-Behar matches and 171 in one-day games.

Mayank Tehlan, Aakash Chopra and Yogesh Nagar have been overlooked while left-arm spinner Vikas Mishra has been rewarded for his good performance in the domestic season.

Squad: V Kohli (capt), R Bhatia (vice-captain), S Dhawan, M Manhas, P Bisht, U Chand, A Jain, P Mehra, G Chabra, J Singh, V Mishra, C Nanda, A Nehra, P Awana & P Sangwan.

Sarandeep shines

Sarandeep Singh (3 for 21) and Suhail Sharma (3 for 24) helped ONGC beat LB Shastri by six wickets and enter the semifinal of the Sahibzada Ajit Singh tournament.

Brief Score: LB Shastri 149 (Y Nagar 65; Sarandeep 3-21, S Sharma 3-24, S Narwal 2-28) lost to ONGC 151 for 4 (M Tehlan not out 62, M Manhas 50).
