Team India Skipper Virat Kohli said on Monday that the team received “words of gold” from West Indies batting legend Vivian Richards who visited them ahead of the first cricket Test in Antigua.
The first of the four Tests between India and West Indies will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua from July 21-25.
Indian cricketers such as Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Murali Vijay and KL Rahul got themselves clicked with the former West Indies captain, who seemed to be giving them some useful tips.
“What a memorable moment. With the greatest ever, Sir @vivrichards56. Words of gold from him. #Grateful #Memorable,” Kohli, who has often been praised by Richards for his attacking batting, wrote on his twitter handle.
The 62-year-old Richards happily obliged as the Indian cricketers clicked selfies.
Enjoyed having little discussion with Great Sir viv richards!!! Still feeling so happy!!??????,” Dhawan said on the social networking site.
