If one looks at the names Indian captain Virat Kohli follows, it gives an insight as to what are his preferences are and what he likes to keep track of in both cricket and non-cricketing matters.
Punjabi singer Gurdass Mann, rock star Justin Timberlake, Indian maestro AR Rehman, Sachin Tendulkar and some of his follow team mates are among 44 persons Virat follows on Twitter.
But Kohli’s passion for football and love for Real Madrid is clearly visible through his account. Key players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Toni Kroos and Greath Bale are there. Virat, who is coming closing in on Sachin Tendulkar’s followers mark on Twitter, which is 14.4 million. Like Tendulkar, Kohli is a big fan of Roger Federer.
It is reported that Virat has a very few close friends and most of them are cricketers. A fair amount of them are in his to follow list.
“Luckily, I don’t have too many people in my life that I am close to. I think that helps,” Virat said in a TV interview recently. “If you have too many people and too many friends you speak to, you get distracted and your time management becomes impossible.”
Kohli’s Twitter profile reads, “Indian cricketer, gamer, car lover,loves soccer and an enthusiast.” He also keep track on his fan clubs on twitter. His official Facebook page has more than three crore followers.
