Yes, you read that right. A lot of men anyway remain fascinated with the achievements which the 28-year-old Virat Kohli has had, but for one of them to go as far as sending a marriage proposal is something that the Indian cricketer would get dumbfounded with.

During the recently-concluded ‘Independence Cup’ between the ICC World XI and Pakistan in Lahore, the Indian cricketers were conspicuous by their absence. If there were any who were missed sorely by the cricket fraternity and Pakistani fans alike, they were MS Dhoni and Kohli.

Several of Pakistani cricket fans had taken to social media to express their disappointment over not having either of Virat Kohli or MS Dhoni in the ICC World XI team, which comprised of players from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and England.

During the matches, some of the fans showed up at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore with placards reading that they were missing the Indian pair of Kohli and Dhoni.

But it was this policeman who stunned everyone when he showed up with a placard that read, “Kohli, marry me”.

This is not the first time that Kohli had got a marriage proposal online. Back in 2014, England cricketer Danielle had famously put out a tweet that said, “Kholi marry me”.

Virat Kohli, meanwhile, is back on the field again with the Indian team, leading them to a victory in the first ODI against Australia on Sunday. The second ODI of the five-match series will be played at Kolkata on September 21.
