Relentless rain on Thursday evening meant that the game between the Chennai Super Kings and Lahore Lions at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium was called off without a ball being bowled. The decision was taken about an hour and a half before scheduled call-off time. The abandonment meant that both the sides were awarded two points each, taking Chennai to six points and Lahore to two.

If Perth Scorchers beat CSK, the latter will be knocked out. Only Lahore winning the last two games could stop Perth from progressing (on net run rate).

If Chennai beat Perth, the latter will be knocked out. Lahore could qualify if their net run rate is superior to CSK after they beat Dolphins and Perth Scorchers.
The Kolkata Knight Riders have already qualified for the semifinals from the group.
