Kings XI Punjab said on Thursday that the franchisee is co-operating with Income Tax (I-T) department and the BCCI in investigations over the ownership details of the Chandigarh-based IPL team.
“The franchisee, KXIP, is co-operating completely with the BCCI and all the relevant regulatory bodies. It would be inappropriate to comment beyond this at this moment. In the interim, we request media not to resort to unsubstantiated allegations and frivolous speculation,” Kings XI said in a statement.
IT officials on Wednesday questioned officials of KPH Dreams Private Limited, which owns Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kings XI Punjab. The questioning went on for nearly five hours.
