West Indies captain Darren Sammy has won the toss and opted to bat on Tuesday in a World Cup warmup match against Sri Lanka at R Premadasa Stadium.

The teams can use all 15 players, but only 11 are allowed to bat. Both teams had won their earlier warmup games. Twice World Cup winner West Indies defeated Kenya and 1996 world champion Sri Lanka beat Netherlands.

The World Cup begins on Feb. 19 with Bangladesh taking on India in the opening match at Dhaka.
