With a chain of convictions happening in 2002 communal riots case of Gujarat, the concerned rioters have approached the perpetrators of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, nearly all of whom got scot-free and are enjoying honourable lives today.
“Yes, some Bekabu Badrangi approached me, who fears that he’d be convicted next after Maya Kodnani and Babu Bajrangi,” confirmed Gulab Nath, a VIP accused of leading murderous mobs in Delhi that killed many Sikhs.
Gulab Nath said that he refused to help the rioter as he had become reformed and secular since 1984. However, the lawyers of 2002 rioters claim that Gulab had actually become corrupt and shameless over the years.“GulabNath asked for money, 90% in black, for giving legal tips on how to confuse courts and go unpunished in a riots case,” Arun Gupta, lawyer of Bekabu Badrangi claimed, “Corruption is being passed on as secularism because it hurts every community badly.”
Arun said that he would anyway study the legal files of likes of GulabNath to know how they escaped punishment from courts cases that were in no way different than their clients’.
