2 bike thieves arrested, 5 stolen vehicles recovered

The accused, who were riding a motorcycle without wearing helmets, were stopped by the police team.

The Delhi Police has arrested two persons who were riding a stolen motorcycle, and also recovered four bikes they had robbed. Salman Khan (20), who hails from Kanpur and Ashif Khan, a resident of Tugalkabad Extension, were arrested at the Mehrauli-Badarpur Road on Saturday.

The accused, who were riding a motorcycle without wearing helmets, were stopped by the police team. The policemen became suspicious when one of them tried to flee. The duo was arrested after they disclosed that they had stolen the bike from Ambedkar Nagar.

They also led the police team to the place where four other stolen motorcycles were kept.

The accused also revealed that they were instigated by Kalicharan, a notorious criminal, to steal motorcycles to make easy money, the police said.
