As many as 48 Delhi Development Authority (DDA) could be involved in the housing fraud, if Udit Raj, the president of the Indian Justice Party (IJP), is to be believed. Raj alleged on Friday the engineers, already facing corruption charges, could also be involved in the recent housing scam.
“These engineers were deputed in the Municipal Council of Delhi (MCD) but were repatriated because they were found corrupt. Now all these engineers are continuing in the DDA. They could have been involved in the recent fraud,” said Udit Raj.
Raj said he had written to the Urban Development Minister Jaipal Reddy who has assured him that he’d consider Raj’s demand for restructuring the Delhi Development Authority.
Raj also took a swipe at the former personnel commissioner who had recruited the engineers in question, alleging that Sharma is occupying the accommodation provided by the DDA without authorisation even though he has been transferred to the Railways in 2007.
