5 Haj pilgrims hurt in bus-truck collision

Five Haj pilgrims, including three women, were injured after their bus was hit by a speeding truck near IP Park (Millennium Park) on Thursday night. HT reports.

Five Haj pilgrims, including three women, were injured after their bus was hit by a speeding truck near IP Park (Millennium Park) on Thursday night.

According to police, the accident took place around midnight on Bhairon Road in the Tilak Marg police station area. However, no case has been registered.
A police officer said the bus was ferrying the pilgrims from the Indira Gandhi International Airport to Moradabad in UP. The truck hit the vehicle while trying to overtake. “The truck hit the bus while trying to overtake. As a result, the front part of the bus was damaged. Five passengers suffered minor injuries. They were taken to a hospital and discharged after first-aid,” said the officer.
