6 held for stealing car, robbery

The Delhi Police have arrested six robbers who used a stolen car to rob two salesman of diamond jewellery worth Rs. 55 lakh.

On May 29, the gang snatched an i10 car from a businessman in Bahadurgarh and used it with a fake number plate to rob two salesmen. The salesmen work for a company that deals in diamond jewellery.

The accused have been identified as Raj Kumar, Manjeet, Manish, Rahul, Sanjay and Praveen.
“We have recovered four country made pistols with four live cartridges, the robbed car, and 152 diamond jewellery articles,” said BS Jaiswal, DCP (outer).
Acting on a tip-off, the police stopped the i10 car at Rohini and apprehended the accused.
