Two persons, including a one-and-half-year-old girl, were killed in Palam of south-west Delhi at around 3:30 pm today when a truck rammed into them.
Ram Pyari along with her daughter Lila and a neighbour Kalyani were on their way to fetch milk when the truck hit them, police said adding they fell on the road and were crushed under speeding truck's wheels. Lila and Kalyani died on the spot.
A bystander called police who rushed them to Deen Dayal Updhyay Hospital where Lila and Kalyani were declared brought dead while Ram Pyari is recuperating.
The victims were residents of Sagarpur. The truck has been impounded, police said adding a case has been registered against the accused driver, who fled the spot.
