The parents of murdered teenager Aarushi Talwar are again under the scanner of CBI and are currently in Dehradun as part of the agency's probe into the two-year-old case.
"Nupur Talwar and Rajesh Talwar are in Dehradun since May 19. The CBI team, which is investigating the case, had asked the couple to report there. They have certain queries related to Aarushi murder case which they are investigating so they have called them there," a CBI official said.
The Talwar couple had on May 16 organised a prayer meet on the second death anniversary of their daughter. Arushi and Hemraj, a servant in Talwar household, were found dead under mysterious circumstances in her house in Sector 25, Noida in 2008.
The CBI had carried out narco-analysis test on Nupur and Rajesh, both doctors, between February 8 to 20 this year at the Gandhinagar forensic labrotary. However, it failed to get any concrete clue, which could help investigators in solving the murder case of the teenager.
CBI Director Ashwani Kumar refused to comment whether the couple had been called for questioning. He, however, said "until the case has been solved everyone is a culprit".
Asked by when the agency would complete its investigation into the case, CBI Director Ashwani Kumar told PTI, "The new team is investigating the case from the very beginning. We have not set a time limit for it."
Last year, the Talwars had undergone lie detector and brain mapping tests at the Forensic Science Laboratory in Gandhinagar as part of the ongoing probe.
