The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has suspended ID Shukla, the chief of Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of the Delhi government for violation of “conduct rules”.

However, there was no clarification about what action was being contemplated, or what rules were violated by Shukla.

“The MHA order states that some action is being contemplated against him (Shukla) under conduct rules,” said Delhi’s principal secretary (home) GS Patnaik on Wednesday.

When contacted, Shukla said: “I have been orally informed (about suspension) but have not yet received the letter. I am an all India service officer, I am ready to go anywhere.”
