Admin record doesn’t mean Modi will make good PM: Godrej

Denting the perception that Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi is a favourite of the industry lobby, Godrej group chairman Adi Godrej said in an interview to CNN-IBN that Modi’s record of administration in Gujarat doesn’t mean he’d make a good PM.

Denting the perception that Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi is a favourite of the industry lobby, Godrej group chairman Adi Godrej said in an interview to CNN-IBN that Modi’s record of administration in Gujarat doesn’t mean he’d make a good PM.

A release from channel also said that Godrej feels early elections could help in the current situation but expressed his fears about a third front government. The leading industrialist’s apprehension perhaps lied on the fact that no third front government so far could finish its full term and led to political instability.

Godrej, in an interview to Karan Thapar, however, felt that the PM’s statement in Parliament failed to assure the corporates. But he believes finance minister P Chidambaram will narrow the fiscal deficit to 4.8% as monsoon will help growth pick up in Q2.
