Advani calls up Chidambaram, expresses concern over violence in WB

Senior BJP leader LK Advani on Wednesday spoke to Home Minister P Chidambaram and expressed concern over the law and order situation in West Bengal following violence in some areas.

Senior BJP leader LK Advani on Wednesday spoke to Home Minister P Chidambaram and expressed concern over the law and order situation in West Bengal following violence in some areas.

Advani called up the Home Minister to enquire about the incident and the steps being taken by the state government to deal with the situation.

district even as stray clashes were reported from elsewhere in the district earlier in the day.

One person was killed and 25 others, including a DSP and seven policemen, were injured in the violence yesterday after several places of worship were desecrated following clashes between two groups.
