After a successful march of workers they lead in the Capital on Wednesday, the Central Trade Unions said they would take up the issue in Parliament.
The rally, attended in lakhs from workers from across the country, marched towards Parliament brining traffic to standstill in many parts.
"Even after a nation-wide strike in September, day-to-day protests and the present rally, the government appears is unmoved. We have submitted a memo to the Speaker calling attention of the House to issues like price rise and defunct labour laws. I would raise the issue in coming days," Gurudas Dasgupta, general secretary, All India Trade Union Congress said on Wednesday.
With active participation of the Congress affiliated Indian National Trade Union Congress, the rally was demanding measures from government to control price rise, strict implementation of labour laws.
