Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Monday attacked Anna Hazare yet again, claiming that he was being guided by people who are against “weaker section and reservation”.

“I am extremely sorry….Anna is being led up the garden path by all those people who are basically opposed to the idea of Congress, weaker section and reservation,” he said in New Delhi. He also claimed that Hazare aide Arvind Kejriwal has been known for his anti-reservation stand.

Singh will be releasing an open letter to Hazare on Tuesday.

Campaign is on
Hisar:
Close aides of social activist Anna Hazare continued to campaign against the Congress party ahead of on Thursday’s by-poll for the Hisar Lok Sabha seat.

Kiran Bedi, a prominent member of ‘Team Anna’, told a public meeting in Adampur town that the Congress-led central government does not want to empower probe agencies “so that corrupt leaders can escape the law”.

Hazare has said he and his associates will campaign against the Congress until UPA government does not clear the Jan Lokpal Bill, a draft anti-corruption law proposed by Team Anna.

“The whole country is taking interest in this by-election,” said Arvind Kejriwal, another Team Anna member. “We have to bring back our money from the foreign banks and get the Jan Lokpal Bill passed. The voters of Hisar have the great responsibility of showing the path to the nation.”
