Doctors and staff of Medanta hospital, where Anna Hazare had been admitted for the past four days, were abuzz with callers, requesting them to arrange a meeting with him.
According to hospital employees, they had been getting numerous calls till the 74-year-old activist was here.
However, due to strict security measures and Anna's refusal to meet the public, requests of all supporters were turned down, they said.
"Most of them wanted to meet Anna. It was not possible. Though I had been to the area where Anna was resting, I never visited his room as I was not concerned with his treatment," said Dr AS Soin, chief liver transplant surgeon at Medanta.
Officials said even patients and their attendants were asking for a meeting with Anna.
Apart from doctors and key members of Team Anna, Union minister Vilasrao Dehsmukh met the activist.
Hazare was discharged on Wednesday after he expressed his desire to go to his village Ralegan Siddhi in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra.
