Manava Bharati India International School, Panchsheel Enclave, celebrated its Annual Day. In keeping with the centenary year of Delhi, the theme of the event was 'Dilli to Delhi'.
A cultural evening was organised in which more than 400 students participated. Chhao and Kathak dance were performed. An exhibition of paintings and models created by students was held.
K. Rahman Khan, Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha and Dr Mrinal Miri, Chancellor of Arunachal University, were the guests of honour. The school's founder, Dr. Durga Prasad Pandey congratulated the students and Principal Bharati Pandey proposed the vote of thanks Ahlcon International School, Mayur Vihar celebrated its Annual Day. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Sheila Dixit, Chief Minister of Delhi. The acting High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Maheshini Colonne, along with vocalists, Pt. Rajan Mishra and Pt. Sajan Mishra were the Guests of Honour.
'Aasha', a compilation of the musical renditions of the school choir, was launched followed by 'Taleem',an instrumental music recital presented by the students.
The highlight of the event was the enactment of 'Vishwamitra' - a dance drama directed by Pt. Jaikishan Maharaj The President Shanti Devi Progressive Education Society, Bikramjeet Ahluwalia, Chairperson Rohini Ahluwalia and the Principal, Ashok Kumar Pandey appreciated the efforts of the students.
Run ,Reach, Rejoice the Annual day at Delhi Public School, East of Kailash was celebrated to mark the culmination of the sports week.
A welcome address by the Headmistress Dolly Chanana was followed by a mesmerizing cultural programme that included a fusion dance, choral recitation, a vibrant taekwondo display, aerobics , sword dance .Dr.D.R. Saini, Principal D.P.S, R.K. Puram awarded medals and certificates to the winners . The day celebrated the true spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork.
Hillwoods Academy, Preet Vihar hosted the annual event 'Techno fest', a presentation on technological developments in the field of science, mathematics and computer science.
Many competitive events such as debate, budding scientist, be an architect, sudoku, think and link etc., were organized.
The highlight of the festival was the science, maths and computer exhibition where students displayed the models. The esteemed judges addressed the students and appreciated the efforts made by them.
