KR Mangalam World School, Greater Kailash hosted National Science Day organized by Delhi State Science Teachers' Forum (Regd) to pay tribute to Dr. C. V. Raman for his discovery of Raman Effect. President of the Forum, P.N. Varshney and Principal, Jyoti Gupta welcomed the Chief Guest, Prof. Kamal Kant Dwivedi, Vice Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University.
In his address, Mr. Dwivedi suggested the Science teachers to be more interactive and more innovative while carrying out the teaching - learning schedule in the schools. Rashmi Krishnan, Director SCERT presided over the function.
During the programme, the students of Class III performed their enchanting magic - 'Logic behind Miracles'. Various other dignitaries were also present on the occasion. 'Darpan', the forum's magazine was also released by Mr. Dwivedi and other dignitaries present. AK Seth, General Secretary presented the Annual Report about the activities of the Forum.
Dr. GS Adhikari, Sr. Vice President of the Forum, proposed the Vote of Thanks.
The students and the football team at Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj had an opportunity to meet the renowned football player, Baichung Bhutia who visited the school for an interaction with the students and also the members of the Baichung Bhutia Football Academy, which runs for the students at the school.
Bhuita interacted with the students, gave them tips to have a good diet to be sturdy on the field and also motivated them to follow their dreams and passion with sincerity and commitment.
