BJP's deputy leader SS Ahluwalia has once again courted trouble. Upset with his behaviour, the Rajya Sabha chairman Hamid Ansari has called an all-party meet on Thursday to discuss his conduct.
There is also a possibility that someone may also give notice for a breach of privilege against him for his objectionable language and behaviour.
His rough conduct first riled PJ Kurien, who was presiding over the House on Wednesday, and then some other MPs after it was adjourned.
It began when Kurien asked BJP's NK Sai to start the discussion on the tribal affairs ministry. When Sai did not respond, Kurien asked Congress's Mani Shankar Aiyar to speak.
Ahluwalia demanded the House be adjourned. Failing to get any response, he walked up to the Chair and gestured to his colleagues to raise slogans against Congress chief.
At this, angry Congress members rushed to the well. The House was then adjourned. But after that Ahluwalia had heated exchanges with Rajniti Prasad and Ram Kripal (both RJD).
Meanwhile, Kurien took his complaint to chairman and said he would quit the panel of presiding officers. At the BAC presided by Ansari thereafter, Rajniti Prasad raised the issue.
A tearful Kurien narrated the entire episode. Ahluwalia however sought to defend himself.
