The Army search team on Thursday morning retrieved the body of Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Dorjee Khandu. Home minister P Chidambaram confirmed the death of Arunachal chief minister on Thursday morning.
He also said that two bodies including that of Khandu was taken to Luguthang village by the land route and then brought to Tawang. The minister also confirmed that the body of the chief minister had been identified.
The home minister also said that arrangements were being made to take the other three bodies, which were charred beyond recognition, to Tawang. The body of the CM will be taken to Itanagar later in the day.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi may reach Itanagar to pay last respects to The Arunachal chief minister.
