The Delhi police have arrested a domestic help, her husband and their associate, for allegedly murdering a 68-year-old businessman at his northwest Delhi residence on November 18 and then decamping in the victim’s car.

The Delhi police have arrested a domestic help, her husband and their associate, for allegedly murdering a 68-year-old businessman at his northwest Delhi residence on November 18 and then decamping in the victim’s car.

“The arrested have been identified as Sangeeta (20), her husband Anoop (20) and their accomplice Vijay Kumar (35). They had killed Ram Avtar Gupta on November 18 at his Ashok Vihar residence and decamped with R22,000 in cash and foreign currency,” said a senior Delhi Police officer.

The police zeroed-in on the trio after the victim’s neighbours claimed hearing the voice of a man and a woman from Gupta’s house on the fateful day.

Police said Sangeeta had visited Gupta’s house onNovember 15 and had got to know that he had visited Sri Lanka recently.
