Even as corruption and the issue of having an ombudsman have created a furore in and outside Parliament, the ruling Congress does not seem to be interested in discussing the matter in the Delhi Assembly.

Topics listed for discussion during the assembly's monsoon session - beginning from August 29 - do not include the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report on irregularities in awarding contracts and execution of projects or the Shunglu Committee report on anomalies in Commonwealth Games-related projects.

"We had received a notice from BJP for a discussion on the Games but the business advisory committee rejected it," Delhi Assembly speaker Yoganand Shastri said. "None of the members have proposed a discussion on Lokpal."

BJP's chief whip Sahib Singh Chauhan said: "The CAG and other agencies have indicted the CM for irregularities during the Games. We will press for her resignation."
