College life has always been much larger than classroom and studies. It has always been about numerous cups of coffee, unlimited plates of maggi, and the constant chatting with friends about every thing on earth except studying. Delhi University is celebrated for its astounding hangout zones. So lets check it out!
The cool hangout places in North Campus have influenced not only the college culture but have also given a new meaning to the modern education phenomena. The pass-outs from Delhi University still remember their college days and north campus for its cool hangout hubs and not the boring classrooms and the killing sleepless hours of lectures.
"Life completely changes the moment we become a part of the North Campus. The hang-out zones are the best part of it," says Sameeksha, a third year student of Hindu College.
The canteen area tops the list as the hub of social activities; it's the ultimate place where the bunking bugs grant solace. The surrounding vegetation, which includes the long list of the legendary trees, is also a part of this happening list. These trees are like the old friends for the students who witnessed the generations and generations of students.
Delhi school of Economics one of North Campus's prestigious college, popularly known as the D-School, is also known for
J.P'S ultra cheap caffeine aroma, J.P ji or famously known as J.P uncle of the J.P Tea Stall fame in D-School says that he has been there for the past 35 years or so, and served tea to the likes of Amartya Sen and Manmohan Singh. Nowadays, his masala coke and bantas are very famous among students.
The D-School's canteen is also very famous for its keema dosas, yummy jellies.
Now lets move on to Kamla Nagar, yes, the stylish and entertaining, K-Nag which is another fun joint in North Campus. Here the students get in for the cheap fast food joints, the yummiest Chacha's chole kulchas, and the steaming mouth watering momos. Be it branded clothing line, funky street stuff or junk jewellery the head-on destination is Kamla Nagar.
