Both Australia and United Kingdom on Monday issued warning to their citizens about terror attacks in the Capital. Taiwan, however, downplayed the incident.

These advisory came a day after two gunmen opened fire near Jama Masjid, injuring two Taiwan citizens. Australian Federal Sport Minister Mark Arbib urged Australians to closely watch the travel advisories.

“At the moment, the travel advice urges Australians to exercise a high degree of caution in India, especially New Delhi. We receive reports of possible terrorist attacks in New Delhi, Mumbai and other cities,” he said.

Britain issued a similar warning. “Be particularly conscious of security considerations in the vicinity of key government installations and tourist sites; when attending public events; and in public places…,” the British High Commission said in the advisory.

In Taipei, Taiwan foreign ministry urged Taiwanese to mind personal safety in India but did not issue a travel alert.
