The South Delhi Police have arrested three people for allegedly murdering an autorickshaw driver and seriously injuring another in the Neb Sarai area.

The police said the accused, also autorickshaw drivers, murdered Rajinder Kumar as they were not allowed to ply on roads during the recent two-day autorickshaw strike.

The injured man is Devender Kumar. According to police, the incident happened on August 18.

Police arrested Manoj, Ajay and Jasbir, all in the age group of 20-23 years, while another accused Rahul is absconding.

According to police, the accused said they used to ply autorickshaws and during the recent strike, the victim forced them to stop plying their autorickshaws.

“They could not digest this and hence took their revenge by stabbing the victims,” said DCP(South) HGS Dhaliwal.
