In a startling revelation before a CBI special court, the investigation agency claimed Sadhick Batcha death at his residence could have been an outcome of a discreet transaction between Batcha’s firm Green House Promoters and Shahid Balwa-owned DB Realty.

Batcha, a close aid of former telecom minster A Raja, was the managing director of Green House Promoters, Chennai based real estate agency.

The CBI told special judge OP Saini, “The cash transaction between Green House and DB Realty, Batcha’s driver reportedly missing, and later Batcha’s suicide, might share a link. The matter is under investigation”.

The agency claimed that amount transferred between these firms is still unknown, and investigations are in progress to unearth the entire conspiracy.

The agency took this plea as a ground for further extension of custody of Rajiv Aggarwal director Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables. He was arrested along with Shahid Balwa’s brother, Asif, earlier this week.

The judge observed, "There is a statement on record that Green House Promoters... were having close relations with DB Realty and the witness also mentions accused Rajiv Aggarwal.” The court extended Aggarwal’s CBI custody till April 4.

Aggarwal was held for his alleged role in Rs 200 crore transactions between Cineyug Films and Kalaignar TV, as the money was routed through his firm.

The CBI said Aggarwal allegedly has strong links with Green House Promoters in which Raja's wife is a director and he is required to be quizzed further regarding the cash transaction between DB Realty and Green House Promoters.
