Rapidly increasing volume of commuters in Delhi Metro has prompted Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to train its men to attain global standard on behavioural detection. More than 15 lakh commuters travel by the Metro every day.

"Due to high volume of passengers there was a requirement of targeted security in the metro network. Therefore, CISF laid emphasis on training its personnel in behavioural detection," said Niraj Ranjan Das, director general, CISF.

"You cannot physically frisk everyone at a mass rapid transit system. Behavioural profiling is the only scientific way to identify suspicious people who travel by the metro,” Katyar added.

On Tuesday CISF completed four years of its deployment in the metro network and marked the occasion by released a training film on behavioural detection.
